Brief Outline: A variation of Rock, Paper, Scissors.

Detailed Explanation:

  1. Form two groups, choose a leader for each round, and have the team form a line facing each other.
  2. The leader decides on the command and whispers it to the members.
  3. Everybody does the command when the teacher shouts, "GO!".
  4. One command beats the other.  If the group mixes up the command, they lose.
    • The man wins against the gun because he holds the gun.
    • The gun wins against the wolf because it shoots the wolf.
    • The wolf wins against man because he will eat the man.
    • If the students tie, they decide on a new command and play again.

Variations:

  • You can have one leader for the whole game or
choose a new leader for every round.

Teaching Suggestions:

  • Teach the action.
  • Man - Both hands up.
  • Gun - Gun action with your hand
  • Wolf - Put your hands behind your ears to make them look big. (wolf with big ears)

Tips/Cautions:

  • Make sure the students actually whisper the commands.
