Brief Outline: This is a simple fun game for practicing days of the week. 

 

Materials Needed:

Detailed Explanation:

  1. After splitting the class into groups, I ask "What day is it?"  The team to answer any day, for example, "It's Monday" receives points based upon the WhatDayIsIt attachment.  For each game played, students may not repeat the same day.
  2. Each game is pretty short and uses just the top row of points.  The 2nd game uses the 2nd row of points.  Each game has a maximum of 3 points and a minimum of -1.  For example, for the 1st Game if a student says "It's Sunday", they will receive1 point.  But, in the 2nd game Sunday is no points, and in the 3rd game it's 3 points.  NOTE: The last few games have higher points.  The attachment is good for 8 games.

 

Variations:

  • You could double the points near the end to make it more fun.

  • This activity could be played in teams or individuals.
