Shake the Blind

Outline:  Students give directions to their blindfolded partner, only with a twist. They guide them to other students and have them shake hands and introduce themselves in English.
 
Materials Needed:
  • One blindfold for each pair

 

Procedure:
  1. Review directions, (turn left, turn right, stop, go) as well as (shake hands)
  2. Pair up students, and blindfold one of the students in each pair.
  3. Their partner has to guide them around the room(s) giving directions in English.
  4. Students guide them to another blindfolded student and give the command, "Shake hands."
  5. The blindfolded students shake hands and introduce themselves in English (My name is..)
  6. After 5-10 minutes, the partners change roles.

 

Variations:

  • Scatter desks throughout the room to make navigation more difficult.

 

Cautions:

  • To prevent injury, insist that students walk at a slow pace.

概要: 一人生徒は目隠しを着てパートナーは行き方を教えます。目隠し人は別の目隠し人に英語で自己紹介をしたい。
 
必要な教材:
  • 二人の生徒のうち一人は目隠し
手順:
  1. 行き方の復習をします(turn left, turn right, stop, go)。ハンドシェークも教えます(shake hands)。
  2. 生徒はペアになって一人は目隠しをする。
  3. 目隠しをしない生徒は英語で行き方を教えながら導きます。
  4. 目隠しをしない生徒は別の目隠しをした生徒に行き方を教えます。二つのペアに出会うと目隠しをする生徒は"Shake hands."を言います。
  5. 目隠しをする生徒はハンドシェークをして英語の自己紹介をします。(My name is…)
  6. 5-10分あとで生徒は目隠しをする人を変える。

 

変化:

  • 複雑に行き方をナビゲーションする為に部屋の机を散布します。

 

注意すること:
  • 怪我をしないようにゆっくりしたペースで歩くように生徒は気を付けること。
