Volleyball Submitted by: Franchesca Ocampa Borrowed from or inspired by: The actual volleyball game Date added: 06/04/08 Edited by: まだ
Outline: Review words while playing volleyball. Materials Needed: Balloons - make you sure you have extra, just in case random explosions. Something to make the marker lines of a volleyball court - cones, tape, desks, etc.
Procedure: - Split the teams into two groups and have the groups stand on their side of the net.
- One student from each team jankens and the winning team serves first.
- As the receiving team receives the balloon and proceeds to hit it, they must also say one of the target vocabulary words. If they hit it without saying a word, they are out and must sit down.
- The team with students standing at the end of the game is the winner.
Teaching Suggestions: Variations: Add more than one balloon to make it a little more interesting. If it's a big class, have more than one court. For smaller classes, you can have only one member from each team on the court at a time and when they hit-n-say, the team members rotate.
