Brief Outline
This is a review activity, using questions learnt in Eigo Noto prior to the "What's this?" lesson, in conjunction with the "What's this?" question.
Materials Needed
- HiddenPicture attachment.
- Before class print out the pictures on A4-sized paper. Then attach six Post-It notes on the front of each picture. The students will be able to see some of the outside edge of the picture but shouldn't matter.
Detailed Explanation
- Show the students a picture and ask, "What's this?". The students are to respond, "It's a...", or "I don't know.".
- If the students don't know, remove one of the Post-It notes and ask the question again.
- Keep removing them until the correct answer is deduced.
- Rinse and repeat.
Variations
- Questions can vary per picture. You can ask, "What do you want?", or "What do you like?", or "How are you?". Keep in mind that the questions must correlate to the picture.
Tips/Cautions
- For lower-level classes, you might focus your questions a little more to give the students a hint: "What fruit do you like?"
