Students play Janken. The loser falls over and the winner helps them up.

Detailed Explanation

  1. Demonstrate the game with the teacher.
  2. Students walk around, find a partner, and play Janken.
  3. The winner becomes A, the loser becomes B.
    • B: "Please help me."
    • *A pulls B up*
    • A&B: "_____ pulls _____ up." (Fill gaps with A &B`s names).
  4. Repeat from step 2.

Variations

  • Make the conversation in Step 3 longer:
    • B: "Please help me."
    • A: "What`s the matter?"
    • B: "Look at this!" (gesturing to themselves on the ground)
    • *A pulls B up"
    • A&B: "_____ pulls _____ up."

Teaching Suggestions

  • Use this game at the start of the lesson.
