Brief Outline: To identify the person who tells about himself in a false voice.

Materials Needed:

  • A big blanket

Detailed Explanation:

  1. Divide the class into two teams: Team A and Team B. Teachers should hold up the blanket in between the teams.
  2. Have them sit on each side of the blanket and make sure they cannot see their opponents.
  3. The first student from Team A will sit at the front, facing the blanket.
    4. Team B will ask the student from Team A, "Who are you?"
    5. The student of Team A will respond, "I am XX (any answer is acceptable)."  It is recommended that the student falsifies his/her voice to throw the opponents off track.
  4. Team B will have to identify the student in a given amount of time. Then teachers will drop the blanket. If Team B guesses correctly, they get a point. Then raise the blanket and the teams switch roles. Team A will guess who from Team B will be sitting in front of the blanket.

Variations:

  • Warm Up Ice Breaker: Instead of asking and answering questions, students try to identify the other students as fast as possible. One student from each team stands and faces each other in front of the blanket. When the teachers drop the blanket, both students try to be the first to identify each other. The winner earns a point.

Teaching Suggestions:

  • This activity works best with small class or teachers need to use a big blanket.
  • It is recommended that teachers use a black blanket for this game to avoid visibility.

Tips/Cautions:

  • Some students can get too excited and/or try to cheat.
