Brief Outline: Students read tongue-twisters as fast as they can as many times as they can.

Materials Needed:

Detailed Explanation:

  1. Students read a tongue-twister with a partner. If they can do it and it is witnessed by the partner the student's partner signs the little box next to that tongue-twister to mark it as finished.
  2. The pair changes roles and repeat.
  3. Once both students have completed the tongue-twister and after both papers have been signed, they move onto the next one.

Variations:

  • You can 'up' the difficulty level by increasing the required number of times they must say each tongue twister for each stage.

Teaching Suggestions:

  • Maybe bring in a few prizes for the Tongue-Twister Champions who can really motor through them!

Tips/Cautions:

  • You can work on the difference between the 'SH' and 'SEE' sound: "She sells seashells by the seashore."
