Brief Outline: Watch and discuss Tim Burton's Charlie and the Chocolate Factory.

 

Materials Needed:

  • C&CFactoryTalk worksheets: 01 / 02 / 03
  • Charlie and the Chocolate Factory DVD

 

Detailed Explanation:

  1. Students will form groups of four.
  2. Each group is named after a character in the movie.
  3. Each team is given a copy of worksheet 1.
  4. 1 student from each team will read a question.
  5. Another student on the team will have 30 seconds to write the answer on the board (just the correct letter is okay).
  6. Award bonus points for the more difficult questions.
  7. Worksheets 2 and 3 are for individual work.
  8. This activity was a great success. The students loved this movie.
