Brief Outline: Students try to guess the price of popular items.

 

Materials Needed:

 

Detailed Explanation:

  1. Divide students into groups of four.
  2. Students will put the items on the worksheet in order of value.
  3. Students will then try to guess the value of each item.
  4. Play the "Guess the Price" game.
  5. The teachers will choose one student from each group to guess the price of each object.
  6. The winning group is the one that has the closest correct guess.
  7. The group is disqualified if the guess is higher than the actual price.
  8. The teachers will reveal the actual price of the object and hand out rewards to the group that won the round.

 

Teaching Suggestions:

  • Try to create a game show atmosphere.
  • Write the correct prices at the back of the large flashcards and flip them over for the big reveal.
