INFINITIVE VERB (suru koto)

不定詞(ふていし): ~すること

FUN FACT: "What does 'green class' mean on shinkansens?" <answer below>

DEFINITION: This infinitive verb pattern is simply, 'to' + the regular form of the verb: 「to+動詞の原形」 で 「~すること」 という意味を表す。 This particular grammar point is also often referred to as by its mathlish name: Subject + Verb + Infinitive (S + V + 不定詞)

NOTE: I've also combined one area from Grade 2 with one area from Grade 3 because they teach the same grammar point. See examples below for details.

This game is sometimes called でんごうゲーム in Japanese.
