Brief Outline: Decorate a Christmas tree.

Materials Needed:

Detailed Explanation:

  1. After dividing the class into groups, draw a naked Christmas tree on the chalkboard for each team.
  2.
Two students from each team play at the same time - one student wears the Santa mask and holds an ornament while the other student directs the masked student to the Christmas tree to affix it: Once completed, students rotate and repeat the process.
  3. The winner is the team to affix all their ornaments first.

Variations:

  • To increase or decrease the time of the game, add/remove ornaments.
  • To make it more challenging for the students, draw boxes inside of the naked Christmas trees. The 'Santa' student must attach the ornament inside one of the boxes.

Teaching Suggestions:

  • To prepare the Santa mask, cut it out and laminate it. Then, puch holes on either side of the mask and attach a long string or rubberbands so it can be attached to a student's head.
  •
To prepare the ornaments, cut them out, laminate them and attach magnets to the back.
