Brief Outline:  A simple ABC game where students match upper/lowercase domino letters.

Materials Needed

Detailed Explanation:

  1. This activity is simple.  Simply match the capital letter (left) with the corresponding lowercase letter (right) of a domino.
  2. Split the class into small groups and give each group a set of dominoes.  When you say "GO!", groups race against each other to finish the task.

Variations:

  • If you have 26 students you could give them one domino and get them to get in order.
  • Print out 2-3 sets of dominoes for each group and have them play dominoes using regular domino rules.

Teaching Suggestions:

  • This game can also be played like concentration but searching for one domino to match the domino already there.

Cautions:

  • The dominoes sheet does not come in alphabetical order.
  •
