Brief Outline: The race to complete their worksheets in pairs or groups.
Materials Needed:
- AnimeDays character cards & worksheet - print out the character cards in colour, if possible. Cut the pages in half, and display around the classroom. As for the worksheet, each student needs one.
Detailed Explanation:
- Attach the character cards to the walls around the classroom.
- Divide the students into pairs or small groups, and give them each a worksheet.
- One student from each group goes to a character card, reads and memorises it, and reports back to their group.
- The other student will then write on the worksheet what the first student reports.
- Have students swap roles.
- The first team to collect all the information is the winner.
Variations:
- To extend the lesson, once all the information is collected, have a "Who am I?" quiz.
Teaching Suggestions:
- This activity is based on the "In Your Words" section from Total English 1, Chapter 3, but can be used with any textbook really.
