Brief Outline: Students practice asking each other questions using the question word 'does'.
Materials Needed:
- DoesInformationGap worksheet - there are four different versions so make sure you distribute them out evenly.
Detailed Explanation:
- Give out a copy of the worksheet to each student, making sure the four versions are distributed evenly.
- Check students are okay with the vocabulary and practice a few sample questions.
- Students janken and the winner can ask the loser about any of the characters. If the losing student doesn't yet have the information, they reply "I don't know."
- Repeat with other students.
- The winner is the student who collects all the information first, or who has the most information in the time given.
Teaching Suggestions:
- If you have problems getting boy/girl students to mix, give them an incentive. Have them keep a record of how many male/female students they jankened with. This adds a level of competitiveness.
