Writing Comics

Brief Outline: This activity is for students who have a pretty good handle on English. It motivates students that otherwise wouldn't want to free-form write and makes for a short and fun writing activity. Materials Needed
Detailed Explanation:
For this activity I removed the speech from some Garfield comics. The students then write their own text in.
I chose Garfield because it's not very funny on its own and the students may actually do bettter. It also appeals to boys AND girls. They also copy well and leave a lot of room open for interpretation.- This activity is quite simple. Hand out the worksheet and have the students write their own comics. You may need to provide dictionaries.
