Brief Outline: Students match the activities on their cards with objects on other students' cards using the "Let's" and "Use" words to make sentences.

Materials Needed:

Detailed Explanation:

  1. After Handing out the worksheet cards and reviewing the vocabulary with the class, have the students stand up, find a partner and play Janken.
  2. The winner says "Let`s ______(activity)." The loser finds a matching object on their own card and says "Use this _____(Object)." Then, the loser signs the winner's 'activity' and the winner signs the loser's 'object'. If there is no match the loser says "Sorry."
  3. The students find a new partner and repeat until they have all of their boxes signed.

Variations:

  • Instead of signing activities and objects the students make a mark for each match they find.

Teaching Suggestions:

  • Make sure the students understand that many matches are possible. For example, if a winner says "Let's play." the loser can say: Use this computer, ball, piano, etc.
  • The cards are simply images. They can be modified in MS Paint or some other art program.
