Brief Outline: This is a practice exam for the 3rd term of 1st grade.

Materials Needed:

Detailed Explanation:

  1. Give the students the test. Do the listening first. The listening script is a telephone conversation goes like this:
    • J: <Ring Ring> Hello.
    • K: Hello John, this is Ken.
    • J: Hello, Ken.
    • K: Are you free on Sunday? We're playing baseball.
    • J: Yeah, I'm free. What time?
    • K: How about 3:00?
    • J: Sounds good. See you then. Bye!
    • K: Bye!
  2. During the written part of the test you can choose to seperate sections and review the answers together after each one, or review the entire test at the end of class. I recommend to post an answer key on the wall after class for students who are absent and still want to study, or students that didn't finish/listen during the discussion time.

Teaching Suggestions:

  • It's up to you whether or not you want to do repeating drills after each of the answers are explained. This would incorperate speaking into the class but tends to put the kids into robot mode. Use discression with this.
