Brief Outline: Get the students to act out, "Could you...?" requests.

Materials Needed:

  • Pictures (not included): Cut into pieces, like a pieces of a puzzle.  Any picture will work. One picture is needed for each team.

Detailed Explanation:

  1. After dividing the class into groups, number the students in each group. This is done to make the game flow easier.
  2. Ask the number 1’s in each group to stand up. Ask them a command sentence.
  3. The first student to carry out the command, with or with out the help of their group wins a puzzle piece for their group.
  4. The first group to complete the puzzle wins.

Teaching Suggestions:

  • Write out the sentences before class. Sometimes I can't think of a new question fast enough.
