Brief Outline: Students race to be the first person to 'shoot' their opponent's card in order to steal it.

Materials Needed:

  • A set of vocabulary cards of the target vocabulary: One set for each pair of students.

Detailed Explanation:

  1. Give each student a set of cards. The back of the cards must not be transparent. Each pair faces each other. Explain to them that they must hold their cards in their hands (face down).
  2. Each pair shouts 1, 2, 3 draw (like your drawing guns). When the word 'draw' is said, they reveal the first card.
  3. The first person to say (shoot) their opponents card, gets to steal their card.
  4. The person with the most cards at the end wins!

Variations:

  • For more advanced students, you can place actual sentences on each card.
