GRAMMAR: NH's Writing Plus 1     EXAMPLE: What do you do after school?     DATE ADDED: 03-08-10

35-50 min.

Brief Outline: Students write about what they do after school and then interview other students.

Materials Needed:

Detailed Explanation:

  1. After introducing the question/answer in the example area of the worksheet, students fill-out the answer area.
  2. Then, they nine other students what they do after school and write their name/club activities on the second page of their worksheet.
  3. After all students have returned to their seats, the fun begins.  Have the ALT/JTE randomly select students and ask them what they do after school.
  4. Students cross-out the box on their bingo worksheet if they have that student's name.

Variations:

  • Instead of randomly selecting students and asking them the question, select a student and quickly play Janken.  If you win, then ask them the question, but if you lose move onto to another student.

Teaching Suggestions:

  • The ALT/JTE can take part in the acitivity, too. Use your name as the first bingo name.
