Brief Outline: This activity is based upon the Ramone's song,
Have you ever seen the rain?
Materials Needed:
- SeenTheRain worksheet - one for each student.
- A copy of The Ramones, Have you ever seen the Rain song (not included).
- Yes/No cards - you will need to make enough cards for each student to have 2-3 yes/no cards.
Detailed Explanation:
- After get the students to listen to the song, have them fill-in-the-blanks on their worksheets.
- Then, after translating the weather words on their worksheets, get them to write five 'Have you ever...' sentences of their own.
- Finally, have the students ask other students ask each others their questions. If a student answers with "Yes, I have," they receive a 'yes' card, and vise-versa.
- If a student asks you one of their questions, sign their worksheet.
Variations:
- The Ramones version is a little fast. You might consider the Credence Clearwater Revival version.
