Brief Outline: This is a pair or team game where students make infinitive sentences in hopes to discover their friend(s) secret marker.
Materials Needed:
- WantToDo worksheet - each student or team receives a copy.
Detailed Explanation:
- Play this game in pairs or teams, based upon the dynamics of your class. For pairs, have them sit back-to-back. One student uses the boy marker and the other, the girl marker.
- Each person decides what their marker wants to do and places the marker on that picture.
- Then, they take turns asking each other, “Do you want to ...?” The person being asked, answers appropriately: "Yes, I do." or "No, I don't." The object of the game is to be the first student to find their partner's marker.
Variations:
- You can also use this for third-person questions: "What does (s)he want to do?" "(S)he wants to take a picture."
