Brief Outline: This is a simple warmup activity where the students listen for a word, find and touch it.

 

Materials Needed:

  • English textbook: One for each pair of students

 

Detailed Explanation:

  1. Get the students to open one textbook between two students. Open to the page they did last lesson.
  2. In pairs, they have to race their partner to touch the word you call out.
  3. They simply listen and search for the word and touch it.
  4. First to do so is the winner (1 point).
  5. Rinse and repeat.

 

Teaching Suggestions:

  • This activity can be used for any page they have already studied.
