Brief Outline: Students take turns trying to find matching alphabet letters. Materials Needed: Detailed Explanation: Depending on class size, form groups of 4-6 students. Give each group two complete sets of alphabet cards. Have them place the cards facedown on a desk. - Students take turns turning over two cards trying to find identical cards. When they turn over a card, they must say the letter out loud. If they find a match, that student has another turn. However, if the two cards do not match, the cards are once again turned facedown and it becomes the next student's turn.

Big/Small Writing: translated by: - After reviewing the alphabet, sing the ABC song, or pass a big and small ball around the class and have the students to say the alphabet in order. The student who has the big ball must say "big" before the letter; the student with the small ball says "small".
- Give a print alphabet tracing sheet to each student and have them say and trace the letters, for example "Big A, small A, big B, small B, etc."
- The teacher says an alphabet letter, proceeded by "big" or "small," and students say and touch the correct letter on their paper.
- Randomly write various pairs of letters on the chalkboard (i.e. don't write a "Big-A" next to a "Small-A"). Select a starting point in the class; roll the die and count to that student. For example, let's say you roll a four. From the pre-arranged starting point, ask the 4th student, "Please erase the big A". Keep repeating the process until all the alphabets on the board are erased.
- Materials needed: Alphabet tracing sheets: HandwritingForKids and a die.
