Body Coloring

Outline: Students color body parts of the giant and robot handouts according to the ALT's directions.
 
Procedure:
  1. Students choose which handout they want to color.
  2. Tell them that this robot/giant is your friend and he is very colorful.  You know what color each part or his body is and are going to tell them.
  3. Make statements like, "My friend has a blue head," or "My friend has one pink arm and one brown arm."
  4. Students should color in the drawing accordingly.
  5. Go slowly, and demonstrate for students who don’t catch on right away.
  6. Color your own sheet as you go, but keep it a secret.
  7. After you are finished explaining, show everyone your coloring and have the students compare theirs with yours.

概要: 生徒は、ALTの指示によって巨人とロボットの絵の体の部位に色を塗ります。
 
手順:
  1. 生徒は、ロボットと巨人のどちらの絵に色を塗りたいか選ぶ。
  2. このロボットや巨人は生徒たちの友人である、そして、とてもカラフルであると生徒に話す。ALTは体の各々の部分にどんな色を塗らせるかあらかじめ考えておいてから生徒に言う。
  3. "My friend has a blue head," （私の友人は、青い頭です。）または、"My friend has one pink arm and one brown arm." （私の友人は、1本のピンクの腕と1本の茶色の腕があります。）のように言う。
  4. 生徒は指示に従って、絵に色を塗る。ゆっくりして、すぐに理解できない生徒がいたらやって見せてあげる。
  5. ALTが言った通りに、ALT自身も自分のシートに色を付ける。でも、それは秘密にしておく。
  6. 説明し終わったら、ALTの塗った絵をみんなに見せて、生徒に自分のものとALTのものとを比較させる。
