Wearing Colors
Wearing Colors
Outline: The ALT asks if students are wearing a certain color. If students are wearing that color, they must point to the clothing with that color on it.
Procedure:
- Say a color and if the student is wearing that color, they must point to it. Have the HRT check to ensure the students are pointing to the correct color. This game is best used as a warm-up game.
Teaching Suggestions:
Variations:
Instead of pointing at their own clothes, make their clothes off-limits. They must find and point to the color on their friend's clothes. This variation should only be done with students under the 4th grade. 5th and 6th graders are starting to realize their gender differences, so this could lead to some problems.
