Family Shapes Outline: Students draw and cutout shapes according to the ALT’s directions to make family dolls. Procedure: Give students blank papers. Two pieces should be enough. ALT says a shape and students will repeat the word and draw the shape. Keep in mind the shapes are to be cut out and put together to form a human paper doll, therefore do not choose random shapes without considering it to be part of the body part. - When the students have drawn all the shapes, have them cut the shapes out and form a person.
- After they paste the shapes together, have them add detail to their family member with their pencils.
 - Finally, have the students intoduce their family members with the phrase, "This is my ~ ."
Variations: Make a whole family of paper dolls. Try making other things besides people, like cartoon characters, monsters, friends, famous people, etc.
