Outline: Blindfolded students are being guided through an obstacle course while listening to their partner's directions to avoid dangerous desks.

Procedure:
  1. Make a target bullseye on the chalkboard, one for every team.  Then, have the students make an obstacle course using their desks and chairs.  Finally, break the class into groups.
  2. Each group should choose one 'Blindfolded Member.'  Starting from the back of the room, have the teams lead their BM through the maze.  The first BM to touch the bulls-eye on the chalkboard is the winner.
  3. Team members can only use English to instruct the blindfolded students.  If they use Japanese, make them start from the beginning.
  4. Teammates can follow along with the blindfolded member through the course, but they cannot touch them or obstruct the path of another group.
  5. If a team’s blindfolded member bumps into something hard enough that it moves, they must wait 5 seconds.
  6. The BM sometimes uses their feelers, a.k.a. hands.  If this happens simply have the them put their hands behind their back.

Variations:

  • Make the game into a tournament.  Have the strongest teams race each other, while the slowest teams duel it out.
  • Change the obstacle course often to ensure unfamiliarity.
  • Spin the students before they begin the race to disorientate them.  Another hilarious option is once they are spun, arrange the BMs facing each other.  This seems to produce giggles every single time.
  • Instead of touching the board, use piko-piko hammers.
