Brief Outline: Students learn how to make a turkey with construction paper while they learn or review shapes and/or body parts. 

 

Materials Needed:

 

Detailed Explanation:

  1. If you have access to construction paper, use the black & white attachment above. If you don't have construction paper, use the color attachment.
  2. Cut out all the pieces of the turkey.
  3. There are six feathers in the attachments above. Each feather has a sentence, "I am thankful for ____." Have the students write something they are thankful for on each of the feathers.

手順：
  1. 切抜き細工用の用紙がない時は下記に添付した色型をプリントして使う。もし切り抜き細工用の用紙がある場合は、添付の白黒の型を使う。
  2. 各生徒に1枚ずつ用紙を与えて、七面鳥のすべての部分を切り抜きいてもらう。体の部分―大きな円、頭の部分―小さな円、首－長方形、口―三角形など。形や色を描く際に繰り返してその言葉を学習する。
  3. 下記の添付の型には六つの羽根がある。赤、黄、オレンジの色画用紙から葉形の羽根を切り取ってもらう。それぞれの羽根には「I am thankful for ～」という文章を書いてもらうが、生徒には何に感謝しているか、「～」という部分に入れる言葉を考えて書いてもらう。
  4. 大きな茶色の円が七面鳥の体の部分になるので、そこに他の体の部分をのりで付ける。
