Outline: Students aim to place all the objects in the correct rooms in the ‘school’. Teaching Suggestions: Pre teach grammar ‘Where is the ~’ Pre teach grammar ‘It’s in the ~’ Teach names for rooms in the school
Procedure: - Students work in teams of 4-5 students.
- Each group gets an A3 hand out of a ‘school’ and a set of cards with objects on them. The objects are in a pile picture down on the desk.
- Students play Janken for the order of play.
- Student one chooses a card from the pile and goes to the ALT and asks ‘Where is the ~’. For example ‘Where is the computer?’. The card must be left at the desk.
- The ALT answers with ‘It’s in the ~ room’. The student must go back to their group and tell their group the location of the object. The other members must put the object card in the appropriate room. Repeat with all the students in the group.
- Check the answers by asking student ‘What’s in the music room?’ or ‘Where’s the bacon?’
