What's in My Pockets? Submitted by: Elem ALT team
Outline: This game isn't rocket science. Students try to guess the objects in your pockets. Teaching Suggestions: Procedure: Pre-stuff your pockets with random school objects -- tape, stapler, pen, pencil, etc. Pull an object out of your pocket and show it to the kids. Say something to the effect of, “Hey, look at that! I have a stapler!” Ask the students if they can guess what else you have in your pockets, but give them a hint as to what type of things you have in your pocket. Have the students form groups and think together what you could have. When they answer, they should say, "Do you have a ~ ?" The teacher should answer by saying, "Yes, I have a ~" or "No, I don't have a ~." When a group makes a correct guess, take the object out to show them.
Variations: Once all the objects have been shown, return them back in your pockets and grab randomly grab an object in your pocket and ask them what object you are going to pull out next.
