Introducing the Topic:
  • Introduce the target language while talking to yourself.  "I like skiing.  I like pizza."  Make lots of gestures. Kids will catch on to the meaning quickly.  Then, introduce "Do you like..." by asking the HRT questions.  Use the same nouns you used in your prior self-introduction.
