Brief Outline: This is a group Jeopardy game mixed with a flavor of Bingo. Materials Needed:
- AnswerMeBingo worksheet - one bingo sheet per group
Preparation Needed:
Fill in the squares with 1-3 word "answers". You can use just about any type of question. This works great using questions about the JTE or ALT. For example "Canada", "for two years" and "baseball", can be respective answers to "Where are you from?" How long have you lived in Japan?" "What sport do you like?"
Teaching Suggestions:
Detailed Explanation:
Divide students into groups and give one copy of the BINGO sheet to each group.
In groups, students think of questions that will elicit the answers in the square. When they have a question, they raise their hands and wait for the teacher to come and answer their question.
If the teacher's answer is the same as one of the squares, students write a circle in the square.
Students race to get BINGO.
