Subordinate Conjunctions - because & when

 

Definition: A subordinate conjunction comes at the beginning of a dependent clause and establishes the relationship between the dependent clause and the rest of the sentence. 

 

Example: "Because 'because' is taught at the beginning of the sentence in Japan's basic JHS English textbooks, I am confused."
