Verb - Infinitive (subject + verb + infinitive)

日本語で -->   S + V + to不定詞(ふていし)

 

NOTE: Take anything you think you know about English grammar and chuck that out the door because the grammar point being taught has no English grammar name that I have found.

 

Definition: This particular grammar point in the textbook focuses on sentences that contain the following pattern: subject, verb and infinitive.

 

Examples:  I  asked my father to help me.     Do you want her to call you back?     My father tells me to work hard.     My father taught be how to play it.
