Brief Outline: In this fast-paced gesture game, students throw a Doink ball around the room acting out various adjectives. Materials Needed:
- A soft object to use as the Doink – hacky sack, koosh ball, bean bag ball, etc.

Detailed Explanation:
- Doink is an imaginary substance with many changing properties – sometimes hot, cold, sticky, bouncy, etc. It changes based upon the instructions of the thrower.
- The game starts by you tossing the Doink to a student. While the Doink is midair, say any adjective: “It’s hot!” The student that catches the Doink must treat the Doink like the described adjective; maybe juggle it around like it’s hot.
- Once completed, they throw the Doink and call out a new adjective.
Variations and Options: - Don’t allow the same adjective to be called twice.
- Don't allow the same person to answer twice.
- Any student who tries to dodge the Doink so they won't have to speak, they must receive the Doink. Then you tell them three adjectives they must act out before they can pass it along.
Tips or Cautions: - It is a good idea to go over adjectives with the kids beforehand. Additionally, with the permission of your teacher, introduce a couple fun adjectives. Consider listing them on the chalkboard or giving them a sheet with the words so the kids can choose from a list.
- This is not a good game for rough classes.
