Brief Outline:  To find out what time it is in the nine countries listed.

Materials Needed:

  • EnglandTime worksheet - one worksheet per student and one country card per student

Detailed Explanation:

  1. Each student gets a country card and a worksheet to write their answers on.  Make sure students know the countries and how to read time.
  2. Students walk around the classroom, play janken and the winners ask, for example, ‘What time is it in England?’. If the other student has the country card for England, they will be able to answer e.g. ‘It’s 9:30’.  The winner can then write the answer on their worksheet.
  3. The fastest student to fill in the worksheet wins.
