Brief Outline: Students apply their knowledge of the days of the week to a listening task. Materials Needed:
Detailed Explanation: Revise days of the week and write them on the board (or use flashcards).
Play the song through once.
Hand out the lyrics and read through them as a class.
Play the song through once and students fill in the days of the week.
Sing the song through as a class.
Variations and Options:
Students could work in pairs or groups.
Some steps could be omitted and could be made into a warm-up task.
After doing this activity in class, I discovered using the entire song was too difficult for my class. Instead, we did one verse, rehearsed it and sung it.
