Grammar: Question – ‘where’

Brief Outline:  Students work in groups to fill in the worksheet on where stuff is in.

 

Materials Needed

  • Hunting worksheet
  • Cards of items, or real items
     

Preparation Needed:

  • Print worksheets
  • Provide materials to place
     

Teaching Suggestions:

  • Have a spare room to set up in, or if there is no spare room make the items difficult to find in the normal classroom. Try to set up the activity before class so that the students can’t see what is going on!

 

Detailed Explanation:

  1. Students work in groups of 2 or 3.
  2. One student from each group goes into the other room and finds an object.
  3. They report to the members of their group the location of the object, who then write the location down.
  4. Change students and repeat.

 

Variations and Options:

  • Take out some of the questions for introductory lessons, or for classes that struggle.
