My Day's Schedule

Submitted by: Joyce P. Le     Borrowed or inspired from: N/A     Date added: 02-20-08

Brief Outline:  Students practice listening and saying ‘time’ questions and answers while looking at an exciting day’s schedule.

Materials Needed

  • MyDaysSchedule1 worksheet – for groups
  • MyDaysSchedule2 worksheet – for individual work

Detailed Explanation:

  1. Have students make groups and give each group 2-3 handouts.
  2. ALT will ask, “what time do you ~?” and students will answer by saying the correct time. For example, “What time do you take a bath?” The answer should be 9:15pm.
  3. Whether or not the students have to answer in complete sentences is up to the teachers.
  4. Teachers should think of a point system game to play: Attack 25, Bingo, Castle, Othello, etc.

Variations:

  • Writing: students will make 2 questions using “what time do you ~” and interview 4 other people question 1-6. Then they will practice writing by answering their own questions.
