Brief Outline:  Tonari means 'next to'.  Students have a worksheet in front of them.  Based upon your prepositional sentences, they must find each character.

• Some of the preposition words and/or phrases might be new for the students.

Detailed Explanation:

1. Prior to handing out the worksheet, review the preposition words and phrases with the students.
2. Hand out the worksheets and have the students fold the bottom half of the page so they can't read the hints.
3. Start reading the hints and students must choose the correct letters.

Variations and Options:

• For lower level classes, have the students work in pairs or groups.
• For higher level classes, have the students break into pairs and have one student read the hints to their partner.  Then, reverse and do it again.
