Bizz Quiz (all texts)
Groups complete in this Jeopardy-style game to answer various questions, depending on their grade level.

 

Describe It (New Horizon)
Talk, Act, or Draw!  Whichever you choose, it's sure to be fun and challenging! Describe It is an all-in-one Taboo, Charades and Pictionary game.

 

Describe Them (all texts)
Students are given a celebrity card and have to describe the person using 5 sentences.
 
Students write and ask yes/no questions to decide what type of people their friends are. The questions are based on the grammar they learnt in grade 3.

 

This is an eikaiwa-style lesson that can be used for small to large groups of JHS (grade 3) to HS (grade 1-2) students.

Jump Thru Hoops (New Horizon, but easily adapted to any textbook)
Students have to complete a series of seven puzzles in order to figure out the secret sentence.
 
Katakana Karuta (all texts)
Students learn to hear the difference between katakana pronunciation and REAL English by playing this fast paced card game.

Textbook Search (Total English)

In groups, students search through their 3rd grade Total English textbooks for the answers.
