  • (Aug. '06~'08) Joetsu Board of Education:  Japan Exchange and Teaching Program (JET

    Program) Participant, working in government junior high schools and elementary teaching ages 5 to 16, teaching EFL to Japanese students.

  • ('05~'06) Australian Capital Territory (ACT) Department of Education:  Working throughout the territory in high schools and junior high schools as a substitute teacher.
  • (2005) Hawker College:  Short-term ten week contract teaching tertiary and accredited students Drama, English and Tourism to grade eleven and twelve students. Marking Year 11 ACT Standards Testing (AST) papers.
  • (2006) Hawker College:  Short-term ten week contract teaching Tertiary English to grade Eleven and Twelve students. Marking Year 12 ACT Standards Testing (AST) papers.
  • (2003) The Commonwealth Department of Education, Science and Training Aboriginal Tutorial Assistance Scheme:  One-on-one tutoring for Indigenous students from kindergarten to year twelve in literacy and numeracy skills.
  • ('07~'08) Co-director of Niigata Charity Musical.
  • ('06-'07) Choreographer and actor in Niigata Charity Musical:  Working with volunteers from all nationalities to raise money for The Village Development Project in Waria Valley, Papua New Guinea (PNG). Commitment spanned 6 months, travelling throughout Niigata to rehearse and perform. This also included going to PNG for 2 weeks to aid in building the classroom and teaching classes.
  • (2005) Suicide Intervention Project:  Training by Applied Suicide Intervention Skills Training and participated in promoting awareness for the mental health and suicide on University of Canberra campus.
  • ('05~'06) Charity officer for ‘Ascension to Sound Incorporated’:  A not-for-profit organisation aimed at promoting new musical artists and youth issues, such as mental health, drug use and suicide. All proceeds from the events went to charity's Australian Drug Foundation and Canberra Mental Health Foundation.
  • ('02~'05) Volunteer work for the St. Vincent De Paul Society’s Night Patrol:  Providing tea, coffee, soup, sandwiches and a chat to homeless people in the ACT region.
